wee-nastics

“Wee-Nastics” is a unique 12mo to 24mo infant to toddler development program. By using movement therapy techniques and specially designed interactive activities, you will learn how to encourage your baby’s motor skills and cognitive development. This class will help to develop better flexibility, eye-to-hand coordination, spatial awareness, response to touch and more.

2 yrs mom & me

Mom and Me classes provide just the right amount of structured activities to stimulate a toddler's senses and teach them valuable skills. This program provides an opportunity for child and adult to play and learn together in a positive and safe environment. This allows the toddler to experience the adventures of climbing, jumping, crawling, bouncing, tumbling and exploring.

gymnastics & dance combo

Combo classes are unique and are designed for students to experience both gymnastics and dance. These classes are divided with equal time given to both gymnastics events and dance techniques. We have several age groups starting as young as 2 years old. Dance combo classes available ballet, tap and hip hop. Our combo classes also have the opportunity to participate in our annual spring recital. 3 &

4 yrs pre-school program

This is a coed class and is one hour long. Lesson plans for this age group are designed to teach children many developmental skills. Gross motor skills play a large role, such as hopping, skipping, animal walks, laterality skills, hand-eye coordination and large and small muscle coordination. We also introduce many gymnastic skills. At this age the staff creates circuits that teach through success and repetition. These circuits help keep young active children busy having fun while they are learning. All apparatus is used: bars, balance beam, vault, trampoline and floor. This class also helps to prepare for pre-school by teaching the children to take directions from a teacher and deal with social situations. This class allows parents with more than one child to attend classes at the same time. The age groups are split up so that children are working on skill and age appropriate tasks. This will let the current older student to continue at their level. Also by placing the younger student in a slightly older group this child will work on skills to keep them challenged.

4 to 6 yrs girls program

Class lasts 1 hour and 10 minuntes with a student teacher ratio of eight to one. The 4-6 year age group was designed to accommodate children who participate in the Georgia Pre K program for all levels from beginner to advance. The children are introduced to all gymnastics events including bars, beam, vault, floor and trampoline.

5 to 7 yrs girls program

Class lasts 1 hour and 10 minuntes with a student teacher ratio of eight to one. Each child on their first day of class is evaluated and placed in a group that is both appropriate for age and skill level. The children are introduced to all gymnastics events including bars, beam, vault, floor and trampoline.

7 to 11 yrs girls program

Class lasts 1 hour and 10 minuntes with a student teacher ratio of eight to one. Each child on their first day of class is evaluated and placed in a group that is both appropriate for age and skill level. The children are introduced to all gymnastics events including bars, beam, vault, floor and trampoline.

4 to 6 yrs boys program

Class lasts 1 hour and 10 minuntes with a student teacher ratio of eight to one. The 4-6 year age group was designed to accommodate children who participate in the Georgia Pre K program for all levels from beginner to advance. Boys are introduced to all mens gymnastics events including bars, vault, floor, rings, parallel bars, pommel horse and trampoline.

7 yrs & up boys program

Class lasts 1 hour and 10 minuntes with a student teacher ratio of seven to one. Boys are introduced to all mens gymnastics events including bars, vault, floor, rings, parallel bars, pommel horse and trampoline.

homeschool program

Our coed homeschool classes last for one hour and are scheduled during the day to help you avoid rush hour traffic. Our student coach ratio is 8 to 1 guaranteeing personal, focused instruction covering all gymnastics equipment. Gymnastics World of Georgia is perfect for adding physical fitness to your homeschool curriculum.

 

  tumbling class

5 & 6 yrs; 6 to 8 yrs; 8 yrs & up; 11 yrs & up

Tumbling classes are co-ed offered for all ages and levels . These classes focus only on floor skills. Students will participate in many different drills on the floor including the trampoline, and other equipment to help them master cartwheels, round-offs, back handsprings, and a wide variety of other floor skills. The student teacher ratio is eight to one. These classes are an hour long. This class is perfect for cheerleaders, gymnasts, or any child that loves floor. Intermediate and advance classes are available.

Ballet combo classes will need pink ballet shoes, tap combo classes will need black tap shows and hip hop combo classes will need tan leather jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled back neatly; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval.

creative movement / tap

This is a fun and exciting environment for kids to learn to move and dance while beginning to develop the discipline it takes to become a well-rounded dancer. Creative Movement focuses on free movement expression, developing motor skills and inspiring a true appreciation for dance. Dance attire: pink solid color leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes; hair must be worn in a neat bun; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes

pre-ballet

This class is designed to begin teaching basic ballet technique with an emphasis on building dance vocabulary and technique. With a disciplined class structure students will learn to work hard and have fun at the same time. Dance attire: royal blue solid color leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes; hair must be worn in a neat bun; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes

tap

The creative movement tap classes are an introduction to beginning tap and emphasize technique as a means for tapping your toes. Filled with lots of noise, this portion of the class will help teach isolated body control and rhythm. The beginner tap class is designed to teach rhythm, muscle control, and classical tap technique in a fun up-beat environment. Students will learn to move on the beat with control and precision as well as view their every step as an opportunity to dance. Dance attire: maroon color leotard, nude color tights and black tap shoes; hair must be worn neatly pulled back; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes

beginning ballet 1

With an emphasis on ballet technique and discipline, this class is a fun way to learn to move and dance in a structured safe environment. In this class, ballet steps and vocabulary are integrated to provide students with a stable base to become strong successful dancers. Dance attire: pink solid color leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes; hair must be worn in a neat bun; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes

beginning ballet 2

Ballet 1 required An extension of beginning ballet 1, this class continues to develop technique through more advanced steps and dance vocabulary. Designed for fun, this class will teach students to perform and work to perfect skills that will help them continue to dance successfully (this class meets twice a week). Dance attire: pink solid color leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes; hair must be worn in a neat bun; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes

hip-hop / jazz

A fun exciting class that will teach students to move to the beat as well as learn great technique, this class is a great way to produce well rounded dancers who can move with strength as well as grace. Hip Hop dancing is an impressive combination of footwork, freezes, body isolation in a performative style. Dance attire: black solid color leotard, nude tights and tan leather oxford jazz shoes; hair must be worn in a neat bun; no skirts or jazz pants permitted without teacher approval; no attached skirts or ballet costumes
