PARENT & TOT
AGES 18-36 months
Parent & Tot classes take place in THE TREEHOUSE, our small gym designed specifically for our younger gymnasts, and provide just the right amount of structured activity to stimulate a young child's senses and teach them valuable skills. This 30 minute class provides an opportunity for the child and adult to play and learn together in a positive and safe environment, while allowing the child to experience the adventures of climbing, jumping, crawling, bouncing, tumbling and exploring, with the help of a parent or adult. Comfortable clothing and bare feet are perfect for this class.
This 50 minute class that takes place in the TREEHOUSE, our small gym designed specifically for younger gymnasts, is designed to teach children many developmental skills. Gross motor skills play a large role, such as hopping, skipping, animal walks, hand-eye coordination and large and small muscle coordination. We also introduce many gymnastic skills. The class is centered around circuits that teach through success and repetition. These circuits help keep young active children busy having fun while they are learning. All gymnastics apparatus is used: bars, balance beam, vault, trampoline and floor. This class also helps to prepare children for school by teaching the children to take directions from a teacher and deal with social situations. A leotard is appropriate for girls, and comfortable clothing with no zippers or buttons is perfect for boys. Bare feet make the attire easy. Long hair should be pulled back securely off of faces and necks.
